Preserving the building has been a true act of love of, not only the building but, family and history.
In 1953 Kathy's Grandmother purchased a sewing machine. At that time we are sure she never imagined that it would be used to create period correct curtains for an 1886 hotel. Kathy, Kirk and Kathy's mom spent weeks reconstructing the curtains for the hotel.
Kirk and Kathy's daughter attended college and received a degree in theatre. With that degree she has also helped decorate several pieces to coincide with the age.
